Clowning Around…

Both characters are silent clowns who juggle and unicycle. They each offer flexible acts to suite the venue and occasion, including customizable stage shows or roaming/street performance.

Based in Cumberland, MD ⛰️ (Western Maryland; Appalachia; Allegany County, MD) but ready to travel. ✈️

What I need:

Different acts can require things, but generally an open space that is at least 10ft x 10ft is all that is required. Neither act requires electricity or audio, but I can certainly provide background music if desired. If you have unique circumstances, I’d be happy to work with you to create something that fits your situation!

Alludo’s stage show requires a hard level surface/stage with at least ten feet between the audience and stage.

Rates:

My base rate is usually $200 per event, but can vary greatly depending on scope of performance, duration, risk to my life & limbs, and travel (from Cumberland, MD).

*These are only examples, all events are different and have their unique challenges that will affect the rate. We will work together to craft an experience that suites your event.

**Another major influence is the anticipated audience size and whether or not I will pass hat/collect tips.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out due to finances… I care about financially accessible art & entertainment for everyone. Financing from the Maryland State Arts Council allowed Mx. Whiskers to come into being.
That being said, free art is not free to make.

Inclusivity & Accessibility

Both characters are non-verbal and there is generally no instrumental underscoring. Performances do not offer audio descriptions at this time.

ALL audience members, including folks with disabilities or sensory sensitivities, are free to speak and move in reaction to the story being told onstage. Please make sure to stay behind any designated performance line for everyone’s safety.

Audience Participation

We all need a little help sometimes, so Mx. Whiskers or Alludo Mort may recruit volunteers from the audience. Only willing & enthusiastic volunteers may be asked to join them on stage.
